Google is working to provide Night Mode support for the Camera Go app
Last March, Google introduced a new camera app called Camera Go as its default camera app with the Nokia 1.3 mobile phone. A camera app specifically designed for devices running Android Go.
Currently, the Camera Go app comes with a Night Mode feature. And Android Go devices that support this feature now have the ability to take high quality photos in low light conditions without a flasher.
The video above states that this camera app is built for camera modules specifically for devices running Android Go. And that this is not just a software feature but also a combination of software and hardware. This is why this feature is not available for all existing Android Go phones.
While this feature is not similar to the Night Sight capabilities of Pixel phones, it is interesting to note that Night Mode is available for devices with less than 1GB of RAM.
Google claims that the Night Mode feature allows users to take brighter and more accurate color photos. Even in low light conditions, and that Night Mode works by merging several shots at once. The company further points out.
The Night Mode feature of the Camera Go app is already available for Nokia 1.3, Wiko Y61 and Wiko Y81 smartphones, and Google will soon be introducing an HDR mode for the Camera Go app.
